I have a 2013 Laredo TT that the front cap has started to fade at the top, has anyone else had this same problem?

My northwood snowriver has severly faded in just 3 years. Starts at the top and slowly works its way down. Polishing it only works for a week or 2. It seems to plague most dark caps. The only solution is to get it painted from what I understand. I can get mine done by a body shop in Mexico for $250 as opposed to $1500 up here which is what I plan to do while leading a caravan down there next fall. The logos will be going.

Earlier, I commented about my son's issue. Yes they screwed him as well. He painted it himself and had a custom decal made.

We have a 2013 Laredo, that we store for the winter. When we went to pick it up last year in the spring , we didn't even think it was our camper because it looked so bad. The whole front cap had faded and Keystone wouldn't do anything . They wouldn't even talk to us or reply to an email. We won't ever buy another Keystone product. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Join the crowd. I have it with my Northwood Fox Mountain. Other Arctic Fox owners also have reported it. It's not brand specific. It's related to which cap maker is making them for those brands.
Dark grey and dark brown seem to be the most affected.
Only cure is to have it painted. Polishing it with a gel coat restorer is only temporary.

"My son has the same problem. He is working with the factory and they might pay to paint it even though the warranty is expired. No firm decision yet".

I hope he has better luck than I did...here is what the factory told me..

Thank you for contacting Keystone RV. I am sorry to read that you are experiencing problems with your 2013 Keystone Laredo. Occasionally a problem will present itself on one of our units. For these occasions, Keystone provides each customer with a One Year Limited Warranty. The warranty on your unit expired on 02/28/2014.

Unfortunately, there is no life expectancy for when the front cap will or will not fade. For equal fairness, after the warranty expiration date we review everything on a case by case basis, per VIN; while looking at the entire history of the unit. Our service department has reviewed

Considering the time out of warranty and history in mind, we regret to inform you that Keystone will be unable to participate with refinishing the front cap. Pending service availability, you can pursue having this refinished through a Keystone dealer. You may utilize our online dealer locator: www.keystonerv.com.

Please know that Keystone stands ready to assist you with answering questions.

You'll be dismayed at the lack of base, pigments and adhesion used plus the general materials used (indoor, undercarriage and walls and roof I might add) No to mention the delamination the will crop up sooner than later!
