I have decided to convert all bulbs to LED in my 31 BHPR...

4 lamps used the 1141/1156 style bulb. I replaced them with this.

BS15S 1156 Base Single Contact Bayonet 8-30 Volt 18 x 5050 SMD LED 3.6w Warm White
#B002BN5ZT0
Cool to the touch and say 10% brighter light than the standard bulbs..

Next was the 921's in the domes on the inside + range bulb...

42-SMD T15 12V LED
#0087XOTWW
Huge improvement with these! A nice bright white! I could not believe how cool the fixtures are to the touch.

921's in outdoor kitchen..

68-SMD T15 12V LED
#B0096J90KW
Used a bulb with more LEDS.. Same coolness but brighter for the outdoor kitchen!

Lastly, the 13 interior puck lights...Type G4 Base. I ordered 1 of each version so I could see them shine inside.. The warm white was an exact match to what was factory installed. The cool white was a huge improvement and was what we liked best.

5050 SMD LED, 170 Lumen COOL WHITE
#B00B4351RO
5050 SMD LED, 140 Lumen WARM WHITE
#B009DRKQ1Y

With the old lighting, you could hear the converter fan kick on. When you turned on another light the fan would get louder.. With the LED's installed the fan is silent!
Cost ranged from 3.75 for the 921's to 8.50 for the 1141's..

The interior is nice and bright!

We replaced all the bulbs with LEDs too. Did it for heat and power draw concerns. Did cool white in overheads and bright white under the counters. I tried the cheaper ones that you had to put into the socket a certain way and decided to pay a little more for the higher end ones that have metal bases and don't have a polarity. My TV reception is unaffected. ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats! We tried to do the same but apparently got a lower lumen bulb because we just weren't happy with the brightness and changed back.

I was impressed too as well but when i finally went camping off the power grid and started using my HDTV and other radios I noticed i was getting RFI interference from the LED lights. It was so bad it would totally blank the HDTV when I had it on. Turn off the LEDs and everything jumps back to life.

My fix was to use some CHEAP EBAY/CHINA NON-REGULATED LEDS just for the times when we are camping off the power grid...

When camping with cable connections the HDTV signals are so strong it doesnt get bothered by the small RFI signals comeing from the the regulated type LEDs. I do still get bothered with with NOAH WX Alert radio when at shore power places but is liveable - I usually can move things around to get it working all the time.

This low level RFI is a known problem with all the LED manufacturers or regulated type LED lights and is within the FCC rules so we have to live with it until FCC does something about it...

just passing on in case you start worrying about your HDTV blanking out when you are using the OTA antenna when trying to watch the local towns digital Natlional Broadcast stations..

Some folks are not bothered by this but alot of us are...

We just replaced most of ours with the cheap E-bay LEDs. So far we are pretty impressed. 15 of them cost me about $21. Still waiting for 5 of them to arrive. We did this not for boon docking, but because the standard bulb get really hot. There is a light above the couch and you could feel the heat off of it when sitting on the couch. Now, no heat!

Easily one of my favorite mods. We prefer dry camping and boondocking and it felt like we added an extra battery after our LED conversion. Running so much cooler and at a fraction of the power of the incandescents they replaced, it's a no-brainer for those who camp off the grid often. I purchased the majority of them from Ebay, but a few of them were purchased from truckstops. Other than paying 4 times as much at the truckstops, they were all made in China and are performing flawlessly on their 3rd camping season.

Look on Ebay order them from China for 1/4 the cost and they last just as long. Did this three years ago and they are still working good.
