I just got back from looking at a JayCo x213

single real slide out king and bunk beds for the kids.

I would be towing with a Grand Cherokee Hemi.

I want something comparable if possible

under 5k loaded
bunks for kids
slide out for me and the missus
under 23 feet

Can anyone point me in another direction. I don't mind buying a JayCo I just want to know what else is out there.

THanks

When I searched the Jayco site for the x213 it brought up the specs for the 2014 version with the 330 pound hitch weight. It went up in 2015 and 2016.

Maybe they are just trying to slowly sneak it up, hoping people won't notice how out to lunch it was. LOL

Wow. The dry hitch weight in the specs is 330. assume you didn't have lead weights in there somewhere. How can anyone trust the printed specs? Do you need to bring a trailer to a weigh station before you buy it?

If you had full tanks I bet those numbers would have been even higher.

Are they listing it at 330 now? For 2015 it said dry hitch was 365. We weighed it without tanks, without battery and without spare tire and maybe 100 pounds of stuff in the trailer right after we bought it and it was still over 500. I have no idea where they got the 365 number. Maybe with a trailer with no options? i.e. no power package, no enclosed underbelly, no TV, etc. Our trailer is 4376 dry as per the yellow sticker.

The X213 is 24' hitch to bumper. It's also tongue heavy. Not sure what your tongue weight limit is on your Jeep, but our X213 had a 771# tongue last we weighed and the propane tanks weren't full.

Were the water tanks full when you weighed it at 771?

Nope. We usually have a small amount in the fresh for using the bathroom on the road, but very little, only enough for a few flushes. Hot water tank would have been full. So 6 gallons of water.

We do have bikes in the front and I believe we found that changed the tongue by maybe 30 pounds. Again though, our propane was closer to empty.

23' is my absolute limit on where i feel comfortable towing.

My capacity is 7400 pounds with a tounge weight of 740 pounds so that tounge weight might be pushing it.

These are all things I have to take into consideration.

I would like the following
21 foot
5250 pounds fully loaded MAX
dual axle
bunks
rear queen bed slide

I have already found a few models that satisfy most of those requirements

Coachmen Apex Nano 193BHs
JayCo Feather x213
Bullet 2070BH
Outback Terrain 210TRS
