The vehicle owners manual should tell you, However most will say do not use the OD while towing. Your trailer may be pushing 4K pounds? your 4K might be to much weight I would not use OD when towing over 2,500 pounds, but still I'd check the owners manual for the vehicle, glad you have the class 3 hitch....have you practiced your maneuvering with the trailer attached? If not find a big empty parking lot and practice, practice and practice some more. Happy Camping!
