Power Awning Issue/Question

I have a 2015 Keystone Premier with a power awning. As I was closing up the RV, I noticed that when the awning was closed it wasn't flush with the wall. I haven't had the trailer that long and this is my first one with a power awning. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should take it in to get checked out. I tried to upload a pic, but had issues (will try and upload tommorow). Overall, its mainly closed, but the outer bar tends to tilt away from the wall instead of being parallel to the inner bar. That doesn't seem right to me, but after trying to manually adjust it doesn't seem to budge much. The awning roll itself is about 2" from fully rolled against the wall. I think the roll should be touching the wall and there shouldn't be a gap between the top of the power awning and the inner bar.

Is this something I should have checked out or is all well in the world?

Can you provide some insight to how this is done? I can make mine move when rolling it up, but it just pushes the other side further out of alignment. On mine both front and rear arms are out of alignment in opposite directions (front towards front of trailer, rear towards rear of trailer).

I have heard of someone retracting their awning with the slant arms bent a bit and it messed up their awning...

In the photos that the OP provided, it looks like an LCI Solera power awning which has arms that can be tilted/folded. These awnings are designed to be retracted with the arms either straight or tilted without causing issues.

I guess that is a possibility. Seems in 2015 if they have that option to adjust the arm, it should be able to still fold away properly. I opened it up partially and looked at how everything lays in there and it all looked square based on the eye test.

My previous one did that but not this Lippert one on my trailer, there are bolts blocking it as designed.

On my previous one the frame would occasionally torque which meant I had to bang it flush into place. It would then sometimes bind slightly on the way out then release which is hard on the motor/gears.

This one works much smoother.

DOes your awning have the bars to drop the grade on one side to slant it for water flow? If you retract with those even dropped a little bit you will bend the arms...
Is that a possibility. I have only had two trailers, but they both retract flush.
I have heard of someone retracting their awning with the slant arms bent a bit and it messed up their awning...

Mines like that also but you can adjust/slide the roller left or right so it retracts into place flush.

Yeah, mine works fine too. I feel like I would've noticed it before if it came like that, but I'm not paying as close attention to how it closes up since I'm not manually clicking things into place to put it away or bring it out. I have no reason to think it got bent by my use. I haven't been in any heavy winds or rains with it out. It hasn't been hit by anything and has always been fully away when driving. Seemed odd to me that they would design it to not be flush with the other bar when closed.

I have a new 2014 Evergreen I-Go with the same awning and the same concern. I was about to take it back to the dealer to have it checked out as it didn't look right to me.

It's a Lippert Solera awning and it is designed that way, mine is the same. The outer arms can only come up to the long bolts that hold the rails onto the trailer side; they cannot go in any further.

We use our camper 8-9 months a year and use the awning all the time, it works great.

Ours is like that also.

I think it is the wires to the motor, but I'm not sure. Just looks like it when I poke my eyes in there.

I'm subscribing, hopefully somebody will have the answer.
