Relationship between lengths of TV and TT

Is there one? Is there a ratio that needs to be observed, or is it entirely a matter of GVWR-payload-tongue weight?

I have towed the same 24ft TT with a Yukon sized SUV, a 2500 single cab long bed truck and a 3500 crewcab dually longbed truck.

By far the dually crewcab was the most stable and would stop the TT quicker than any of the others. Plus there was less effect from wind or semi-trucks passing by.

For safety and reliability I always advise to get the most truck you can afford.

An added advantage, the crewcab and longbed allow you to carry more toys (stuff), pets and people no need to leave anything at home.

No real ratio there. Just pay attention to GVWR and trailer loading and setup. As with any towing, the longer the TV wheelbase the better for stability.
