Roof and TV strap

I want to start by saying that I do my best not to ask much and I try to be helpful to others but I have a lot to learn and sometimes its the dumb stuff that gets me.. Anyway, I was up on the roof and it needs some attention and I was looking at the fridge vent lid that needs to come off so I can seal around it. The problem is they caulked the darn screw holes and they are hard to get to. Other thing is I need to stop my tv from going upward as I travel down the road or it will come off the mount. I have seen TV straps but many don't look like they would work for me.. Maybe I'm missing something. Id be thankful for any thoughts.

As others have stated, the caulk comes off very easily. Just make sure you put a dab back on when you put the vent back on.

If the caulk has hardened a little warming with a heat gun can help a lot.

I get what you're asking regarding the fridge vent lid. That caulk actually pulls loose pretty easily, as it does not adhere well to the plastic. Just go around the edges of caulk with small screw driver, or dental pick. Now twist and pull, should come out in one piece.

Are you maybe talking about strapping down your actual tv set? Lots of different set ups, so hard to say without a picture. Maybe too late, but you should have anticipated needing kids when you get older! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ya.. I'm screwed now. ๐Ÿ™‚ I just see in the other new thread a good place for the tv is on the bed while traveling. I will carefully pick at the caulking and sorry it was hard it understand with out seeing. Thank you guys.

The screws are down in a hole molded into the lid cover and they stuffed calk down in the holes so its going to be a b to remove to get at the screws. Trying to figure how to dig the calking out of a deep holes. Why they did that I don't no. As far as the pic I'm not very PC smart so this copy and paste stuff is over my head. If I had kids they could help me with that. Ha Ha

When I removed my fridge vent lid, I just pulled/twisted a little, and the caulk came out in one piece, exposing the screws.

If you are talking about your tv antenna raising/sliding off the mount, you may need to add some short home made side pieces to keep this from happening. A pic would help to understand what you are talking about.
