Shower question on my 2017 Jayco 34RSBS

HI everyone.

I just noticed this morning that the top of the shower doesn't have any caulking sealing it against the wall, preventing water from getting behind the shower wall and the camper.

Shouldn't there be caulk up there? We are going to take it back soon for some minor issues.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Tom

Ours had the same situation.
I got a tube of caulk and sealed the top edge against the wall. Did that 4 years ago and it still is holding well with no cracks or separation.

First thing I did on 2 new trailers was seal EVERY potential leak spot in the bathroom. All around the shower, floor joints, sink base etc. Use a good mildew-resistant color-coordinated acrylic caulk.

I think this is common. It is also common, with a new trailer, to have other areas of leaks around the shower, where there is sealant. If you have not used the shower, you may want to do so. Then the dealer could fix any/all issues of leaking.

FWIW, I fixed my own, which took about 3 tries, before all leaks were stopped.

I have the same concern with mine and it's on my list for the dealer to fix at my next service appointment.
