SW Ohio Spring camping

When we reserved our sites 5 days ago the weather said mid 50's wich is typical for this time of year. Now it's calling for low 40's and 20's at night! My bro and I both have enclosed heated under bellies on our TTs so I hope this keeps the pipes from freezing. This will be the coldest temps we have camped in. Next week is supposed to warm up so we don't plan on re-winterizing. The weather here stinks but we can't take it any longer, we must get to the campground! Just had to vent, anyone else camping this weekend?

As I mention on another post I was ready to go this week but woke up to 4 inches of snow and ice.

When it is expected to be cold and stay cold the DW and I dry camp and use the Campground washhouse. We did this last year for a snowshoe adventure.

I this case we just postpone our trip till after Easter.

Hey from Wapa. Sitting in my 5er right now. When the temps drop below 32 I pull the FW hose and run off the FW tank. The enclosed belly and furnace keep the tanks ok for the nightly dip. With a promised 58 degs Wednesday I just had to get out of the house. Will probably drain and blow out water lines just to be safe when I'm done. There is some snow on the ground from Monday but hopefully it will melt off in the morning.

Ouch! Sorry to hear of your quandry. You shouildn't have trouble this weekend. Just have a couple of sweatshirts and a coat. The rig shouild be fine.

Sorry to hear you reserved sites. Ohio State Parks don't require reservations, until March 31. I'm sure the reservation center was glad to take their fee, though.
