I was following a TT being towed and it has led to this question even with a wdh and a stabilizer do you still experience sway ?

There is sway and there is feeling the sway. If you have soft tires and are close to your weight limits and maybe not set up 100% you will have more sway and feel it. If you are driving a 350 or 3500 and set up good, you will not feel it but if you look at your mirrors, you will see the trailer moving some. As long as it is controlled or controllable

It's amazing how many TT's I see on the highway set up incorrectly. Even with a WD hitch, I've seen them with the rear of the truck sagging and the tongue of the TT way low, like a 'V'.

Exactly.

I don't really care if you use a generic WD hitch or the "best" rated one on the market. If they are set up right, the trailer will tow beautifully. Set up poorly, and they are a disaster waiting to happen.

Hey! My RV doesn' sway at all. Hmmm. What a joke. All large sided vehicles sway with cross winds. However, not all of that sway is felt in the driving vehicle. In fact 5ers sway a lot. So much so all chairs etc. are tied down but you feel amost nothing in the PU. Well loaded TTs with a good hitch set up still sway but not much is felt in the PU. When RVers move to a MH and experience sway they are surprised. You feel all of it in a MH. Years ago I drove my 5ver down the highway at 70 to 80 mph and never felt a thing in my PU. Then I followed other 5ers. Whoa Nelly Belle. Does my 5ver sway that much? Yup. Doubters just watch the big rigs for a while. You will see a huge correction. A few moments later you will feel the same cross wind they felt. All large vehicles sway. JMHO

If a WD hitch is set up right, there will be no sway. I have a 33' TT and an SUV. No sway and no sway bar.

If the tongue weight is wrong. Yes
If the tongue weight is correct. No

I can setup any trailer to sway or I can set up a trailer to pull like a dream.
