TorkLift Battery Box

Here's my install of a great accessory: the Torklift battery box.
Holds 4 group 31's or a combination and whatever else you wish.

Plenty of top vents around the cover yet stays dry inside.
Comes with division plates and hold downs to keep your batteries stationary.

I added these PVC T's for my greasy weight bars.
With the bars turned toward the hitch the chains go into the hitch lock to keep the stinger and bars from tempting anyone.

My battery's are connected with Anderson SB50 connectors.
Makes a good cheap ($6.00 total) disconnect.

Looking good here as well - wondering if the close proximity of the battery vent caps and the slide-on metal lid will allow for early corrosion from the battery fumes. I might want to add some sort of plastic sheets affixed to the bottom side of the lid if it would still allow the lid to slide off. It appears the only fumes venting will be the area between the slide-on lid and bottom metal case sides.

The hinged type steel box lids seem to have alot more space between the top of the battery and the inside of the hinged lid.

Maybe not a problem at all - just thinking about things like this... Maybe a good rubber spray on something would help...

I have a similar set up. It keeps my battery locked up while the TT is at the storage unit and lets me keep most of the dirty stuff out of the way. Bug spray, lighter fluid , ax , spring bars......

Looks great. Looking into upgrading my small box to that. My problem is the front of my trailer angles out quite a bit, but by looking at your box, it looks like the lid can be removed easily. That true? Do you see any issues with getting the lid off if it were mounted almost touching the trailer with a forward angle?

Love the flamingos too. I have several we decorate with as well.

Torklift makes several different size boxes & all are locking.

Most have a factory rebate of $30 until the end of June this year.

All the lids are the sliding type, not hinged.

As long as the box is not touching the trailer the lid will slide right off

Sweet set-up

Looks like you have a single 12 volt in the box & plenty of room for other stuff.

Really like your idea for the bars. :B
