Trailer audio/video jacks

Wife and I recently purchased a 2016 Grey Wolf 26dbh. The TT has a RCA output above the TV stand which supposedly is wired to the DVD entertainment dock below. I inserted our children's Sponge-bob DVD and I was able to hear audio throughout the trailer however I was unable to view any video from the output jacks to the TV. Is this what these jacks are for... or am I missing something. Any information will help. I believe the head unit is a Jensen iirc? Thank you!

Yes, it is, and even someone that has color definition problems can differentiate between yellow and green. That would only be for the first connection. After that, the locations of connectors would all be the same.

You shouldn't have to check anything but the back of the DVD/headunit and the screen. Check for correct wire connection between the two. The fact that you have sound in all modes means the speakers and the DVD player's audio is connected correctly.

It may be best to check with the remote that your settings are all correct, first.

The trailer is at storage currently. I may be able to head over there this weekend. But yes, my next trouble shoot will be to remove the av plate and DVD deck and check to make sure all of the inputs and outputs are properly secure.

I would check to make sure the wires to the DVD are in the right spot and that the source is on the right setting on the TV.

I had a problem with mine when I first got it and everything was gray and static looking. Turns out the manufacturer just plugged it in to the wrong ports.

The question is: What is that panel connected to? If you just want to wait until another 2016 Grey Wolf owner chimes in, that's fine.
We have no idea if there are wires connected to this panel or if you are looking at an unconnected jack panel. Describe the situation better.

Just a simple Red/White/Yellow Output jack

If the jacks are "output" they won't be connected to the DVD player. They may be there for an external speaker. If there are only two, red and white, they are for audio left, right and don't carry the video signal.

If the jacks are "input" to the TV. the DVD player would have two interconnect wires left, right going to those jacks. Again, probably audio only.

You should look on the back of your TV to see that wires are already connected from the DVD to the TV. You probably have to select "External source" through the TV's "Menu" selections to see the video from the DVD player.
