Sunday I pulled my fuse panel on my '07 Jayco M-288RLS. Boy was I surprised with what I found. The Iota ILS3045 unit is a fuse panel with the converter attached to the back. The 30 amp power cable is factory hard wired between both units with no disconnect available. I would have to cut the wire to seperate the two units.
Then I go to my friend Google and research if there are replacement units available for this type of converter unit. No. For awhile there was, but now I could not find any at present.
So, then I decide to search for a good replacement. Finally find Progressive Dynamics, inc Inteli-Power 4000 series, PD 4045. This also is a combo unit with the fuse panel and converter built into one unit and should go back into the hole of the Iota ILS 3045. And, has 4 level smart charge which the Iota did not.
After looking at 13 sets of wires that I would have to break and then reattach for the 12 volt DC side and then 5 circuit breakers for the 120 volt side I decide to take the TT to a RV shop.
So, tomorrow morning off to the RV shop I go.
For those of you who are interested how I lead up to this point, I posted another post titled: So, how was your day. Yellowstone N.P. Trip report.
