What runs the furnace?

We have never used the furnace for heat, always take a small space heater and done just fine. But if the TT is hooked to a generator, is the furnace 12v powered or 120 from the genny? Thanks

The CONVERTER will supply the 12VDC power when the trailer is plugged into shore power.

Depends on if the battery is part of the circuit. It usually is. On my Arctic Fox it is and has a 30 AMP fuse in the hotwire out of it. You could put a jumper in and bypass it but probably not a good idea due to an electrical surge could make a "KABOOM"

3 blind mice! You have to have a working converter when hooked to 120. It will run on batteries overnight if you have 2. You can always get up and hook up the 12 V cord to you TV if the battery goes dead.

Whether it's hooked to a genny or not, it's still 12v.

The FURNACE is run by PROPANE... The FURNACE BLOWER and control board is run by 12VDC. 12VDC comes from the on-board converter/charger unit when plugged into shore power and is also powered by the 12VDC Battery system...

Here is a simplified diagram showing a 30AMP trailer system wiring..

Hope this helps...
