Windows hard to open

I have 2 windows, where the bottom half slides up.
When I squeeze the pins and lift up about a 1/2", it stops.
It is then very very hard to move the next approx. 1/2" and then goes on up.
My first thought was frozen seals, but the last time I tried them, it was 59 deg.
I have searched Google, trying to come up with some sort of idea, on a fix. But nothing.
Anyone with an idea or opinion, would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

What you are describing (beside being a lube issue) can be caused by improper leveling. If your frame is slightly tweaked it can cause windows and even door frames to be off and thus hard to open or close.

Try re leveling and don't over tighten your stabilizing jacks..

If it were me I would try some silicone lubricant, NOT anything with petroleum in it, which will attack rubber. Armorall, which last time I checked the MSDS sheet does not have any.

Spray some drylube on the seal you should be fine

I had good luck •sparingly• spraying silicone on the rails while the window is open.
