It's fine as a DIY project but not the smallest truck camper by a long shot.

Travel Lite Rayzr is smaller (not saying they are good or bad...just smaller).

Then you have the old days when we would camp in the back of my S-15 with just an aluminum cap.

I always admire people with hobby. Had them my whole life and even on retirement I can't shake list of projects from my daily tasks.
Cars and RV repairs is my hobby as well, even I do have mechanical education and thinking back, thank to the hobby I could afford RV people with same income could never afford.
