Here is ferry out of Port Townsend, WA.Black Ball Ferry OP says Highway 16, so he is a BC Mainlander. We are letting them onto the Island for the entertainment value. ( You never know what they are going to do next! :) ) Good old Black Ball! Last time I was on one, it was the space ship Kalakala with Dad taking us all to Olympic campgrounds with the 56 Dodge towing a 16 ft TT. Highway 16 also in Alberta.Re: Air Conditioning how many do not use it.We use ours constantly it seems. My wife doesn't do well in the heat. Where we do most of our camping we see 80+ temps during our camping season.Re: Two Weeks in Canada happycamper46 wrote: Thank you for the tips! I did book sites last night. I got the very last spots available (for my size) in those areas, and the sites are less than desirable. But, I'll make it work. I thought I was giving myself enough time to book (7 months out). In Jasper, I could only get the overflow camping area (basically a parking lot with no services). I called KOA in Jasper this morning and luckily got a spot...not perfect, but at least I'll have some hook-ups. I will book earlier next time I plan a trip to Canada. It will be super busy, but have to do these trips in the summer when my kids are out of school. Some day, hope to have the flexibility to go anytime of the year. Thank you everybody!! The Jasper KOA is pretty much a parking lot but has everything you need and staff has always been pleasant with us. Playground, full hookups etc. If you like baked lasagna or pizza Gus' Pizza in Hinton is a must.Re: Who actually enjoys towing?I think I would tow around the block then back home sometimes just so I can do it.Re: What are you reading?Reading a series by Frank Tayell called Surviving the evacuation. It's a zombie series. It is 12 books or so in total.Re: The OkanaganApple Beach in Oliver. Nothing special, smaller campsite, hookups, trees and on a small lake. Gallagher lake as well although I have never stayed there myself. There are also a couple other private owned sites near Headley. Both overlooking the river. I know the two near Headley are not really in the area you are planning but they are options I guess.Re: Cataract surgery for diabetic dog?Our rottweiler is heading into her third year as a diabetic in early Oct. She is on a human insulin called Levemir. At the time the vet said it was the latest and greatest. So far she has no diabetic type issues. We keep her sugars under control and we do regular blood testing. She still thinks she is a puppy which is good although sometimes she pays for it.Re: Shaw Direct changing coverage? We got something from them a while back saying we need to update some of our receivers. We have a bunch of older ones that we don't use any longer. I can't remember if the notice gave a reason for having to upgrade.Re: Canadian Campground Pics old idaho guy wrote: Mosquito Creek campground near Lake Louise Watch out for the bear.Re: Super Duty #1 stolen truckMy 99 F250 left my backyard one night. I did get it back though.
