In order to comply with European legislation it had to be fitted with a mechanically operated handbrake (parking brake). As far as I know Dexter provided the parts (4x drum back plates, cables and ratchet lever. Parts shipping and fitting cost about £650. Once fitted it must be capable of holding the detached trailer on a 16% hill, more than enough to hold the trailer steady when unhitching. This system does not detract from the electric brakes already in use. Just a thoughtRe: Delamination Ashbourne wrote: Ralph Cramden wrote: Ashbourne wrote: Hi Am I right in assuming that you were only given a two year manufacturers warranty on your trailer. Is this common practice in the USA. Surely to suffer so quickly with delamination renders the trailer completely “unfit for purpose “ I have just bought a Euro TT it comes with one years free servicing, 3 years warranty on parts and 10 years warranty against water ingress, this is fairly common practice and shows a certain amount of manufacturers confidence in there products. How about please posting a link to their sales literature, maybe a picture, and the selling price? Link to Lunar Warranty Read through. I took the 10 yr option Cost £32000 inc extras [img] [/img]Re: Delamination Ralph Cramden wrote: Ashbourne wrote: Hi Am I right in assuming that you were only given a two year manufacturers warranty on your trailer. In 2011 we purchased an American 5th wheel, it was the start of 7 years of never ending problems, to name a few. 1. Decals that cracked and peeled. 2. Sodden carpets when travelling in rain. 3. Slide floors rotting due to poor or non existent weather proofing. 4. Leaking shower dome. In Europe we all complain about the quality of all rv’s when buying new, but it pales into insignificance in my case compared to those of the USA. I have now sold the 5th wheel at a considerable loss and replaced it with a UK caravan, it comes with a 3yr manufacturers warranty on parts, and 10yrs on water ingress. I write this not to start.a “mines better than yours” argument, but just to state my own expierence. I wish you all the very best and happy travelsRe: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!3rd time lucky Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OK so that didn’t work, 2nd attempt Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! German bombers returning from London would jettison any remaining bombs before crossing back over the English channel. My mother was left traumatised for the rest of her life until she died in the 80's. I can only thank God that they all survived, I would never had been here otherwise
