1988 Fleetwood class c airconditioning????

I have a 1988 class c 27ft fleetwood, main air unit works while plugged in but don't know how to get it to work off of generator????

Found the plug for the generator and it worked great, only to find out that the alt battery has exploded, reason anyone????

This is my first rv, I have a roof mount, does it have a power cord somewhere I don't know about?
