Has anyone ever installed "after market" suspension airbags? Successful? Do you find they are necessary and/or work properly?Thanks!

We're preparing for a trip to South Dakota (Mt. Rushmore, etc.) and to Island Park, ID (Yellowstone). We're driving from New Mexico. Any particular routes anyone would recommend or not and good places to stay in SD or ID. Thanks!
