If its a Lippert step check the center should bolt on the gear, ours broke 2 times. Lippert has a bracket that's supposed to fix it but ours broke after the "fix" was installed.
Most people who use this forum are Good Sam Members and shop at Camping World, (the people who own and run this forum) It wouldn't bother me not to see ads but the last time I sent a post about ads I almost got banned.
