All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsBreaks Interstate ParkWe are planning a trip to Breaks this summer. We are having trouble finding pictures online of the actual campsites. The site we were in several years ago has already been booked. Our camper is a 30' bunkhouse with a driver's side slideout. We will also need room for a large tent & parking for our truck and another car. Can anyone recommend specific sites & does anyone have pictures? They reserve specific sites & they are filling up.Re: Family TraditionsThere are so many, and they have changed over the years as the kids are now nearly grown. But my favorite I think is falling asleep or dozing by the fire holding the kids as babies. Each one would take or get a bath and then be passed out to me and my job was to keep them off the ground until the next one was ready. Sometimes I’d read them a story but a lot of times we would just sit by the fire. With all young adults and teens and a quad bunkhouse everyone can bathe and out themselves to bed so those days are gone. But definitely fond memories.Re: Unhooked for the night. So glad I read this thread. I never unhooked but neither did I consider the unforeseen emergency. And there are 2 listed here and who knows what else could happen. Medical emergency, who knows? That’s why they’re unforeseen. Unhooking from now on as standard procedure. Thanks!Re: Hello from a new member and a questionWe loved our passport so much it got trashed. Now we are looking at hemisphere hyper lyte. Both quad bunk houses. 30 ish feet. Pay attention to outside storage with 3 kids need lots of toys. We have 4. They are all grown now but still go with us. There are tons of floor plans. Just make sure the bunk styles fit your needs. Have super fun!Re: Do you shower in your camperWe always use the shower. That was one of the main reasons we bought a hybrid instead of a pop-up. I wanted to be able to wash my kids (newborn & toddlers at the time) in the camper without having to worry about a bath house. We have a tote & usually have to empty it every day with the 6 of us. We go through the whole day & then the 4 kids shower, then we dump, & then my husband & I shower. We also "Navy" shower. We have never actually camped with sewer hook-up.
