Safest Route Tucson, AZ to Brookings, Or.

I'm leaving Tucson, AZ after  2 weeks' delay, destination Brookings, Or. in my 34' Class A, diesel pusher, towing my car. The route over Mt. Shasta is unpredictable. I am familiar with 5 through Medford to Roseburg and 42 across to Bandon, S. on the  101.

The 580 route around San Fran to the 101 looks not RV friendly. I would appreciate any feedback you might have.

You'll be fine on the 580. Avoid going into the city. San Fran is not RV friendly at all. I'm currently in SF and just bought a RV to start full timing and they don't allow you to park RVs anywhere. I had to find storage outside of the city.

580 is a full blown freeway around San Francisco. It can be busy but no concern about driving a big RV on it. The option is 101 through the West Bay and downtown San Francisco. That will be more of a white-knuckle experience for sure.
