We are going to Shreveport and further places south in March. Can anyone tell me if this road from Sherman, TX to I-20 is good for motorhome travel? Want to avoid Dallas area at all costs. Thanks in advance...

We enjoyed driving 69 as a Dallas bypass on our way from FL to Arizona.

If you are comfortable in small towns, you can go thru downtown Greenville - I do - but the bypass to the west around Greenville is good. US-69 was good between I-30 and I-20 a couple weeks ago.

US 69 is a good road. Mostly 2 lane from Denison to east of Sherman to Mineola, then 4 lane to I-20. 69 does not actually go thru Sherman, but you can get over to 69 via US 82 in Sherman.

But very little traffic. And wide shoulders on the 2 lane. A few small towns with lower speed limits. Watch your speed. But a nice drive and definitely a good way to bypass Dallas.
