Howdy. I'm wondering wether Bernardo shores is still in Business as there number (listed on their web site) is now a private residence. Haven't received anything back on email either.

Also, a couple years ago we were touring around in the hills above Chula Vista and there was a nice state park at the top of a hill. Seemed like a nice location. We enjoyed walking around it and smelling the campfires. Thinking of spending some time there but can't find it on a map. It was close to Chula Vista. Any idea what its called?

Thanks in advance guys and gals.

We are at Bernardo Shores right now also. We have month long reservations in July. Been told the RV park will close next fall to become the condo complex the city has been pushing for quite awhile. The other park you are probably referring to is Silver Strand State Park. It lies between Bernardo Shores & Coronado. Like so many of So Cal's State beach RV parks it is simply an asphalt parking lot with water & power, usually not sewer.

Thanks for the info.

I'm sitting at Bernardo Shores at this moment. They are open and I know have people with reservations at least into April. The office here is just open in the mornings on the weekends, so that might explain a lack of response.

The other place you are referring to I think is Sweetwater Regional Park - a county park I think.

Hey thanks for the reply. I wonder if they have an alternate number or if they have a call forward on?

So how busy is it there right now. We were thinking of coming in around beginning of Feb for month. Is it packed?

Thanks for the info.

I have no idea about their phone number. Their "contact us" form on the web site worked for me back in Nov before I got here.

Plenty of open spaces. They don't get busy until summer.

Thanks. They contacted me this morning. Hope to arrive around first week of february.

That park on the hilltop is Sweetwater Summit, a San Diego County park.
