Best route suggestion NE of Phoenix

I've done 87 to 260 to 277 and up to Holbrook from Phoenix and it is a good easy trip. This time I'm in San Tan Valley and am considering US 60 to 77 to Holbrook. We are going back to MI in a 35'DP with toad.

Is this as easy as the other route or are their better suggestions. We will be doing this in mid April of this year. Not in a hurry but don't want many extremely slow areas.

Many RV'ers do use 60 without issue. Not my favorite though. Much of it is 2 lane with some rather steep curvy sections especially thru the Salt River Canyon. Never liked that route but again, it is well traveled and doable.

Another route would be to take Ellsworth rd north which becomes Usery Pass rd to Bush Highway, past Saguaro lake and onto 87.
