Can You use DISH Network while in Maritime?

WE are planning a 2014 RV caravan and I was wondering if anyone has been able to use the DISH Network up there.
We will be spending 2 months running and almost amonth in Newfoundland.

Do local towns have local TV or is it all Canadian SAT?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
