Sitting here in the frozen tundra of Central Ohio planning some summer 3 or 4 day weekend trips. One place on my Radar is Carter Caves State Park in KY.

Most likely route would include US23 South to Portsmouth... But them I'm not quite sure which direction to go while towing (about 58ft overall length.)

I'm familiar with taking 52 back as far as Huntington and then crossing over to I64 but that adds a lot of miles if there is a towable more direct route between Portsmouth and the Park.

Been looking at Google Maps for shorter routes as well but wondering if anybody here has the experience under their belt already and would care to offer me a good route(s)?

Been to Carter Caves several times, but not recently. A couple of curves almost stopped us with our 30' mh and toad. Kinda steep also. Nick place when you get there.
