We arrived to Mazatlan this afternoon. We took the libre all the way. El Espinazo is in great shape and the scenery is awesome.

Only thing we'll do differently on the way home is spend more time along the route enjoying overnight boondocking in the mountains of Durango.

Just about every inch is newly paved with guard railing everywhere. We passed little to no traffic.

I highly recommend it to anyone heading east or west.

The decision has been made that we will spend a good part of summer this year along El Espinazo del Diablo. Way too much to see and summer weather is great especially in the evenings. Boondocking opportunities abound. Should we come to Mazatlan again, we will take many more days coming and going. BTW, the beach is great!

I might post some pics of yesterday's bajada. Now for a shrimp omelet 🙂

We hope to do this again in 6 weeks on a motorcycle again. The libre must be one of the top motorcycle roads in the world. After all those years chugging up grades pulling a 3 ton travel trailer it's especially exhilarating to fly up those same grades on a motorcycle.
