Stuart, on the slow aging , at the time I typed that post I was busy so asked my beagle to do the math for me. He obviously figured it in "dog years" and then rounded it up due to the clean living I do. LOL

For general information, Tee Jay, AKA Terry, and his wife own and operate a couple of businesses on the Kenai Peninsula, in the summer time. So they run a yearly round trip from Washington to Alaska, and have done so for a number of years. He has lots of good information about driving to Alaska.

Terry, I don't think too many of us are going to be around to see the colors in 3013. That would make me 171 years old. LOL Alaska colors (colours for the Yukon Queen) are so short lived, they can happened in the middle of the week and be gone by the weekend. That is a nice photo in the article you gave a reference to for sure. You and your family about ready to head south for the winter?

Joe - In 3013 I will be 1075 years old. How did you age less than me ?
I will check with you then.

The Yukon Queen was on Top of the World in September 2012 ... it was stunning, as usual!

It was also grand in 2010

Yes, very beautiful. We were on an Alaskan Cruise 9/6-9/15/2013. It was a first in this area for us.

What impressed me most is the amount of rock in the area. And it seems that in every speckle of dirt there is green foliage growing from it regardless of what slope/angle it is on.

There are more beautiful Pine Trees than one could imagine. The top 6-8 feet would make a perfect Christmas Tree for anyone.
