We have a Terra 31 M, workhorse, allison 6 spd, and use it mostly for desert racing / riding pulling a 14 ft trailer loaded with bikes, a rhino, firewood, etc. We do local beach camping, and have done the sierras a few times (bridgeport, bishop) with no worries.

We are looking at going to Billings to see our friends, going up 189 off the interstate east of evanston, north through jackson, 287 by yellowstone, 89 to livingston and back on the interstate to billings.

I have done these roads a long time ago, pulling a race trailer behind a pickup, but never in an rv. I don't remember the roads. I am not pulling anything this time and was wondering if this is any issue in an RV? We are looking forward to it, the wife not so much. NOt the trip, fear of being in the RV with me and my 14 year old son for 10+ days! lol.

Probably shouldn't worry, I've pulled a trailer past stuck pickups with trailers in the desert and had them look at me like I must have a super vehicle. No, duels and throttle control in the sand.

Thanks for any info! Late June to early July is our trip dates.

Do the campgrounds on these routes typically fill up? Reservations a good idea?
