Heading home to Iowa April 1st

DW and I will be heading home to Cedar Rapids, IA from southern TX on April 1st..
Wish to find over night stop around April 3rd or 4th with at least electrical hookup in NW Missouri or SW Iowa.
A short distance from hwy 35 would be most helpful.

Nice to see a post from someone from C.R. Grew up there on the S.W. side.

Moved to the west coast in 1981. I'll be back through there in early June on my long 2 month west coast to east coast trip.

Probably staying a Morgan Creek Campground for the duration of my time ther

Wife will probably hit a few casinos also, Tama, etc.

Safe travels.

I grew up on all sides of CR. Now reside on the NW side by Roosevelt.
Have you ever stayed at Squaw Creek in Marion?

Stayed at Squaw Creek quite a few years ago. Most of the family is on the west side so that's why we stay there.

Lakeside Casino, on I-35 near Oseola, Iowa, has a RV park. We stayed there once a few years ago. I never gamble (hate to lose), but the casino food is pretty good.

Missouri has an abundance of campgrounds. I recommend Blue Springs CG in Kansas City but it's a bit off of 35. This site is great for finding CGs with a map view.
