I have just acquired a second hand I phone 5 with 6 software and luv it . Do I dare put in a telcel sim card for my 6 months in Melaque?
I hate texting on the micky mouse telcel cel phones!

How is it going to work in wi-fi mode without a Banda Ancha account & Sim?

John. I think there may be differences with providers. I bought the phone from a Bell subscriber and continued with Bell. I am reluctant to mess with it . I think I will lock it in airplane mode and use it as a computer on Wifi networks?

The cell provider that you have now unlocks it. If you are past your contract date, it should be free. It does nothing to the phone. It is just a password.

Putting the sim in your phone won't damage it! It might not work if it is not unlocked or is not compatible with the service you want.
