Mazatlan Mar Rosa

If there's anyone behind us, Mar Rosa is closed for the season. Should have called first. Folks inside painting the building etc so would seem a seasonal thing.

Kept going and ended up at Las Jaibas. Very happy with it. Beautifully landscaped, quiet, solid wifi and electric. Pricey at 525 pesos/nite but it is Maz. Conditioning us to what we'll pay NOB I guess.

Gosh: With the cost of our RV's, Mexican Insurance, fuel cost in Mexico, and tolls to get to Mazatlan, why quibble over a daily fee. What about weekly, monthly, and extended fee? If you are going to be there for only a few days, what is the big deal of $30 dollars for the best(ONLY) location in Mazatlan?

And his expenses are in Pesos, not dollars. A park here in Canada charging in USD or jackign prices ot the equivalent woudl not be in business long.

The majority of cutomers in these parks are Canadian and they are walking away to better priced spots.

Where are they walking to . Where is the better priced park in Mazatlan... they have all closed...

Out of Mazatlan. Better prices south and north

And a park owner vented to me that this was the worst season ever with people complaining about every thing imaginable, threats of law suits, and constant haggling to get freebies and discounts. Wouldn't surprise me if they don't reopen. I've had 2 businesses dealing with the public and understand completely.

yes, and the owner of San Fernando, Sergio, lost a long fight with cancer just the other day. Both ends of that park have and are being developed. So, who knows, another park maybe gone.

525 is highway robbery. We dropped 4 nights in Mazatlan off a spring caravan because of what we considered gouging at this park. With 18 rigs that meant he lost 38,500 pesos, He was not happy but we hoped it sent a message.

525 Peso = 30 USD that is Cheap its 2016 not 1980 ,,, the Park owner has fixxed cost that are non Negotiable such as Power (commercial rates ) Gas ( for the showers ) Labor , Social security for employees ,payroll tax (fed and State ) and since he is in the city of Mazatlan they are charging him the Bed taxes for two person for each RV.. and you wonder why all the parks are closing... And then having to deal with folks that want to park there 20,000 to 500,000 USD RV in a secure park and then only want to pay what 15 dollars for full Hook up ... lets get real folks. And lets not complain about the Canadian dollar being low that is not the parks problem.. remember he has a Family to feed

Wow! My eyes played tricks on me on this subject. I REALLY thought the subject was "Martini and Rossi".

They closed about 2 weeks ago, Maleno, the manager, sent out end of the season notices to many of us, including pictures of the last guests, a French Canadian caravan. They usually open in early November, but if you contact them in advance, they will have a couple of spaces ready to use in October. Because of their location, they pretty much have to redo all the electrical and move sand before the front 3 rows are accessible.
