That reminds me, I need to get on Amazon and order another can of Bull Puckey repellent.

Oh no! Do I order the ounceizkles size can or the metricals size can?

Oh man, regular propellent or the organic free range gluten free sustainably harvested living wage guilt free propellent?

Well fooey! It says that CaliforniaWhackyland has declared the ingredient to possibly cause some weird diseases!

What do do now?

It used to be so much simpler !

Our money is metric too. 10 cents in a dime, 10 dimes in a dollar 10 dollars for a beer in Vancouver...

And metric does not have that TV narrator measurement unit: the โ€œfootball fieldโ€

Awwwww Jeeez, now were gonna have to stop right after crossing the border and get metric tire plugs for our flat repairs while were up there. And it's always a pain when the clerk only speaks the Queens French.

This explains all the tire failures in the US. We're not using metric air in metric size tires.

Aren't you glad that modern tires are sized using one metric measurement (the tread width), one imperial measurement (the wheel diameter), and one unitless quantity (the aspect ratio)? Otherwise, you'd have to change the tires when you change the air; putting metric air in inch tires would cause all sorts of problems.

Aspect ratio is not unitless its just that a ratio. its the sidewall height based on a percentage of the tires width.

From the point of view of dimensional analysis, it's both dimensionless and unitless. You don't measure the ratio in millimeters (or Newtons or foot-candles), and you wouldn't change the ratio if you decided to measure the tread width and sidewall height in inches rather than millimeters.

Not all dimensionless quantities are unitless; angles are probably the most common example of dimensionless but not unitless measurements. But in this case, a ratio relating one length to another, it indeed is both unitless and dimensionless.

Metric air is not to be confused with Medic air. Oxygen in your body is measured by 0 2 saturation as a percentage. Metric air is measured in a pressure gradient inside a closed container, which in this case is a tire. You may not know it but the vapor pressure for Oxygen is different than the vapor pressure for nitrogen. Some will try to sell you Metric nitrogen rather than metric air. Be aware metric air is already 77% nitrogen. Be careful, do not pay for all the nitrogen, you already have mostly nitrogen in your tires. Just buy what you actually need.

Metric Nitrogen is always better than metric air. Just ask anyone selling Nitrogen, Metric or Imperial. :B

Still has to be in metric here.

Also, metric air is not cheap. It takes several loonies to fill your tires.

Yes, and each of them is paid at least the minimum wage.
