Where is the best place to get short visit insurance for a motorhome and tow vehicle? We plan on going to Rocky Point for 7 days over Thanksgiving.

just get the best price and understand what is and is not covered. deductibles are many times in the thousands.

We use Showerys Insurance and they did go to bat for us last year when our van burned. Good company. I don't know about 7 days though

Jim Lewis is a great guy and his agency is the best! We have used Lewis for almost 25 years.

I buy insurance at the gas station in Lukeville for short trips. Next year we will spend more time in MX & will use Vagebundos or Lewis, we have used both in the past.

Your agent should be able to add it to your policy.

Unless your agent is licensed to sell Mexican liability insurance you can't get it at just any insurance agent - you must buy liability insurance from a Mexico licensed agent - comprehensive depends on your US insurance - some can and some can't. We had GMAC and switched to Progressive to get Comp on our RV but they won't do cars. We get our Mexican liability at Lewis & Lewis as well. Best to check your insurance company to make sure you are fully covered. We have to insure our car for comp with a Mexico company as our US Progressive will not cover cars.

We can attest to Lewis and Lewis. They are Insurance Brokers and they will go to bat for you with the company if it becomes necessary.
