We are going to travel to the Finger Lakes area of upper state NY in middle of July and need a recommendation of a place to spend the night between Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. Stop travelling 8-10pm and out by 6-7am or there abouts? No services needed, just a safe secure place to stop for the night.
Is any truck stop ok??? Rest Areas??? Walmarts??? Good areas vs areas to stay away from...need to know.

Safe travels and happy camping to all...

Don't know how long you have But there is a quaint little town called Geneva-on-the-lake right off of I 90 before you get to Ashtabula, OH that is kind of a step back in time and has a couple of nice CG's. Worth a visit if you have the time. We like Indian Creek Resort, there is also a state park.

If you are taking the Ohio turnpike, every other rest area has spots for RVs to stop overnight. A little noisy but convenient.
