we will be traveling between bismark and vegas with a 28 ft class a towing a ford explorer.whats best route?would like a route with lowest elevation as possible
Just be careful about getting off the interstate in the winter. Check wx reports often. Probably a better choice than I-80 in Jan. I-80 east of Rawlins can be nasty in the winter. I have driven north to I-90 and west to Butte in the winter before turning south on I-15. The secondary highway is beautiful in the summer. I'm cautious in winter.

No grades at all - it follows the Jefferson and Beaverhead Rivers to Dillon and avoids crossing the Continental Divide twice. Much better than following I-90 to Butte.
When we go with our class a towing we travel on I94/I90 to Whitehall, mont. then turn off on state hiways 55 41 to Dillon. This is 2 lane but a good road .At Dillon I15 to Vegas.
I much perfer this route to going across wyoming in winter. Dave
