Does anyone know if 190E out of death valley (which seems to turn into Bell Vista Rd into Nevada) is ok for a 42' motor home towing a jeep? it doesn't show up on the trucker's road, but seems to be ok.
i'd love to know if anyone has driven on it and can give me a first hand report.
thanks

thank you everyone for your input! We just drove this road and it was beautiful...early morning sun in our eyes but other than that it was smooth, fairly straight and not many others on it...i would suggest it to anyone leaving DV and heading east....

There has been resurfacing on Bell Vista from the California state line east a few miles. As of yesterday, the posted speed limit on that section is 45, but everyone is doing 65 or better it seems. The rest of the Nevada section is posted 55.

Generally the road is in good condition and you will have no trouble with your RV and toad.

I drove it Dec 2015... There's a few minor issues that I recall, nothing major. It's a lot of long and straight... The part that goes into the park is a bit curvy, I don't recall any major grades or hairpin turns.

Once section, it passes very low through a dry river bed / run-off area, and flooding is possible, be mindful if there's rain during your visit.

The section of Bell Vista Rd outside Pahrump is like a ghost town (failed property development?). It shows up as all these streets and stuff on maps and gps, but there's nothing actually there, the roads don't exist aside from Bell Vista itself.

That section of road was in very poor condition last I was there. The speed limit was also really low - like 35MPH as I recall? You're in the middle of no-where, and 35 feels very slow, strong urge to go faster - I'm not sure if it's a speed trap, I didn't test it.

Never driven it in a motorhome but it's a typical two lane desert road. Some curvy spots. It's doable as long as you're paying attention and watching out for the other guy. We came across a SUV that the driver had fallen asleep and crossed to the other side and flipped in a ditch. Both occupants were shaken but OK. Not much along there so make sure you have water and gas.
