So Cal to LaGrande Oregon

Headed for the OutdoorsRV rally in La Grande Oregon. Just wondering what the best route would be. Thinking of heading up to Bishop, then Winnemucca, then on up to La Grande. Any one know what the highway is like from Bishop on up? Towing a 30 ft TT. Routes to avoid? Looks like miles and miles of nothing out there.

Hwy 95 covers as desolate a part of the country as you can find. I did planning for a trip through this area and seeing the Hwy 95 section changed the trip to avoid it.

Little if anything in the way of fuel stops for you or your vehicle along the 330 mile stretch from Winnemucca to Baker City.

I like to take the scenic route whenever possible. Life is too short to be on the clock all the time.

I usually try to avoid the grades but this 2014 CTD just flattens them out.

But it certainly is the shortest distance.

We do 95 on up.....beats I5 all to heck.. You'll be fine with your rig.

95 is a lotta nuthin'. I usually take the 15 to the 84.
