I am going to be driving a Class C motor home out of Mexico. It is a dually. Am I charged the 3 axle truck rate or the 3 axle bus rate?

I am diving the motor home up to the States for a South American family stuck in Mexico. They are going south and the RV is going north to a consignment lot.

I use the sct site all the time when figuring budgets. I am just trying to have a accurate budget for them. I know that the toll costs are the costs and you pay to use.

BTW, There is a lot of new asphalt on the toll roads making them smoother than the free roads in most areas

Does anyone have any information on these transponders, available at OXXO, recharged online or at OXXO for use on toll roads?

On edit... I found this https://televia.com.mx/tag-televia

On a motorcycle paying cash for tolls is not easy. Need to stop, hope that where I place my feet isn't covered with grease, get the wallet out, pay, put the wallet back... It takes a couple of minutes. Put on a rain suit and it takes 4 minutes easy. Mexico's toll roads charge motorcycles about half the car rate - this transponder needs to continue the motorcycle fare for me to use it....

Secretaria de comunicaciones y transportes has a site where you can plan the route and the toll fees with various vehicles from cars to big rigs, I have used it to calculate the amounts of cash (aproximatlly) to have on hand for the toll roads.

I am not able to place a clky on this forum, maybe the moderator can help with that.

Don't you wish that right now you were here in Mexico instead of Pennsylvania???

This is sent with a big smile!

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Administration will probably jump on your idea about charging per tire. :E

I think that he is just making a quick dash to the US driving a Class C that needs to be returned for one reason or another.

Toll roads are faster, and it helps to have an idea as to what the tolls are so the people he is driving it for are sure they can pay it.

It does not matter if they charge per axle or per tire, if you want to use the toll road ...... you pay!

Otherwise use the roads that do not charge, most of the time they are in better condition than the toll roads.

Two axle bus rate mostly on the West coast, but occasionally the two axle truck rate.

you would be charged for the number of axles you have. the number of tires on each axle has nothing to do with it.

Why would a Class C dually be charged for 3 axles?
Or do you mean it has a tag axle?

It's probably best to check the website of the toll roads you will be using to get the best information.
