Does anyone know if there is television reception there using only an antenna?
Particularly a CBS station.
Would like to watch a college football game there next month.
Thanks.

We prefer Boyd over St Vrain as it is not near a busy highway so it is much quieter.

Veebyes,
We will be coming from a weeks stay at State Forest SP heading to MuellerSP.

Any reason to be that far north of Denver? Boyd is nice but IMO not as nice as St Vrain SP, Longmont, on the WE side in the trees or right next to the lake. Every site has a shelter too.

We watch very little TV while camping but that website will come in handy when there is a must see game.
Thanks to all.

It's a possibility. My brother lives on the shore of one of the other lakes in the region and he gets OTA broadcasts with a very large antenna in his attic plus a booster. Since the lakes tend to sit in low areas, reception can be iffy. If you have trouble with channel 4 out of Denver, turn your antenna 180 degrees and try to get channel 5 out of Cheyenne.

Almost in town is right. One side of the lake sits a populated area with houses and on the other side is the state park. But the park was pretty decent when we were there several years ago.

Just a guess, yes, you are almost in town, pretty sure you would have reception. Map and reception strength.

BOL,

X2. In checking this link, and inputting "Loveland,CO" (NOT the ZIP codes, since it skews to the wrong locations), it shows all the major Denver stations as having a strong signal. KCNC Ch4 is the CBS station out of Denver. Boyd Lake is about 50 miles north of Denver, and practically in my back yard!
