RV parks close to the Bush Library - none
The library and SMU campus are located right north of downtown Dallas. Much too developed for RV parks.
For govt parks, you need to get out to the COE parks at Lake Lavon, Lake Lewisville or Bardwell Lake. City of Lewisville runs a good FHU park not far off I-35.
There are some very good commercial RV parks in Grapevine
The Vineyards, Arlington
Treetops &
Dallas/Arlington KOA , north of Lewisville -
Destiny RV. Some so-so full-timer resident parks to the east in Sunnyvale/ Mesquite. The closest "RV park" to the library is Spring Creek Village in Plano - and that is a large mobile home park with a few overnight RV spots.
Treetops accepts Passport America for one night - no weekends. Sandy Lake RV resort accepts PA for two nights - but must make reservations three days before arrival.
You will be traveling 20-40 miles each way through heavy city traffic to get to the Bush Library. A toad is pretty essential to being able to get around easily.
DO NOT TRAVEL I-635 ACROSS NORTH DALLAS - heavy construction project. I lived in the north Dallas area for close to 30 years - will pull my 36 foot TT on any DFW area freeway - except I-635 between US-75 and I-35 during construction.
What else to do in DFW?
Almost anything you want. Plenty of museums, parks, urban hiking routes - more shopping than your bank account can stand. Literally any kind of food you might want.
