We are trying to find some new campgrounds that we have not visited. Most of the time we go to the state parks. Has anyone gone to Circle B Campground (private) Angola IN? Looking for fishing, boating, nice campsites with shade... Pokagon SP is near that, and we have gone there a few times. Just looking for some new campsites to try. Thanks.

Dutchman made some good suggestions. Half an hour west is Twin Mills Resort around Howe It is a great private campground and also convenient to Shipshwana.

Thanks Dutchman Sport for the great information. We will be checking it out! Mississinewa is one of our favorite camp sites too--except on the holiday weekends. We try to avoid the weekends.

Actually, yes!

We've been to Circle B campground near Angola when we went to a Kenny Rogers Concert held at Trine University last Summer.

The campground has spaces near the main office, all parallel to each other in a row, adequate space for a day or 2, or an overnight, similar to a KOA style. No trees right there, so you'll be in the sun. And you will not be parked along the water or lake.

The campsites along the lake are all seasonal, permanent campers. VERY will maintained, very clean, very neat, and very impressive. But you probably won't get any of those spots. To get from the "transient" campsites to the water is a good hike. No so bad if your a kid, but for a 60 year old with bad knees, ... we drove.

We chose this campground because we were going to the Kenny Rogers concert held at the University. We stayed 3 nights (4 days), because we also have relatives near Rome City and wanted to revisit my 2nd cousins' cottages on one of the lakes in that area too. They are all gone now, but their kids, and even one of the grand kids now own those cottages. I'm glad they stayed in the family. We had a nice informal family reunion.

So, the campground worked out very well for us. We didn't spend much time actually at the campground, but it sure was convenient for what we had planned.

No complaints, but the campground IS what it IS. We've been to every State Park in the NE quadrant of Indiana and have enjoyed every one of them too.

Chain-o-lakes State park is great, so is Oubache State Park (French for Wabash). Closer to South Bend is Potato Creek State park, and farther South from Angola is Mississawana State Park to point out a few more. All are great parks and we've been to them all several times.
