Thanks. We're near there now.

We always stop at the fried pies and eat so many we aren't hungry for dinner. If you can get to the Norman Airport ever, Ozzies breakfast there is amazing and there is room for an RV.

Mr Dan We stayed at a campground next door to Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies. Can't remember the name Nothing special, just spent the night there and left early in the morning. I did go next door and buy some of their fried pies. They were delicious. I wanted to stay at Turner Falls but did not really know a lot about their sites. The office was closed so no one would answer phone. Also appreciate the recommendation for High Plains Diner in Bennett. The food was delicious. The trip was a huge success, even though we had to go a little farther east to Lincoln Nebraska because our potty broke and we got a new one installed. One of the highlights of the trip was Boyer Museum of Animated Carvings in Belleville Kansas 1205 Main Street 785-527-5884. Totally amazing They are not open yet but she opened for us since I told her we would probably never be that way again. Highly recommend this stop. The man is a genius with a fourth grade education.

We stayed twice in Norman, Ok (just south of OK city). this winter going and coming back from Texas. It was the River Wind casino right by I-35. I called them and asked if there was RV parking and they were enthusiastic about having us and said there was a big buffet breakfast and the shuttle would pick us up and take us to the door and back with 24 security. Very nice people and the security parked with in 300' of us all night. Best of all it was free so we felt compelled to at least have the breakfast. I'd stay there anytime!

If you want to be directly south of OKC, Lake Thunderbird State Park is a nice choice - here's the park info. If you want to be an hour west of OKC, Red Rock Canyon State Park is an excellent choice. Call ahead as they only have a few full-hookups available.
We'd rather be out traveling, but I still work so we're part-timers.
This is our Facebook page and

We use Elephant Rock Campground in Lake Murray State Park (between Ardmore and Marietta). It's exit 24 off I35 as I remember. No reservations accepted. Park and they will find you for your money... but I don't know how they are loaded for Easter weekend.
