Camping near Verona WI

Will be attending classes in Verona WI during June. Any recommendations on camgrounds within 30 miles of Verona? Any feedback appreciated.

On the edge of 30 miles are Gov. Dodge state park in Dodgeville or Toms campground.

X3 the Blue Mounds State park. We've stayed there several times, always a good experience. Check out the public pool at the top of the park. You'd be less than twenty miles from Verona.

A place we used to stay at a lot and liked is Viking Village. Not fancy, but it's clean, very friendly, and they have a nice pool. They have full hookups available and weekly rates.

X2 on Blue Mounds State Park. Very nice place.

New Glarus Woods is nice, but the sites do not have electricity. I'd recommend Blue Mounds State Park near Blue Mounds or Mendota County Park in Middleton. Another possibility is Lake Farm County Park on the southeast side of Madison. The cons are it is near the sewer plant which occasionally is smelly and you'd have to drive on the Beltline Hwy which is busy for the morning rush hour. I think you'd be happy at either Blue Mounds or Mendota.

Madison KOA is nice but opposite side of town. New Glarus Woods state campground real close.
