We stayed at Bluebell when we were there..... Electric, but that's it. The bath houses were very nice in my opinion (I'm quite picky) and it's 2min to the wildlife loop. Occasionally bison will wander through that campground. It's also 5min from wind cave NP. The only downside is it's the most "in the middle of nowhere" campground they have there.

We liked Custers Gulch

Large sites, quiet, plenty of wildlife activity, adjacent to park.

They have the buffalo round up the last week of Sept. each
year. If you go, Go to the north side to watch.

Most camp grounds in the area close the end of Sept.

Talk to the park rangers on where and when to go different places. They are very helpful.
