Looking for suggestions on places to stop for the night along the route to Indiana. I'm leaving in a month or so from the Baltimore, MD area with the 5th wheel trailer on Rt70w to Rt.68w across western Maryland into West Virginia. At Morgantown I'll pick up Rt 79N than pick-up 70w at Washington PA. into Ohio on Rt.70/40w to Columbus,OH. From their I plan to work my way to Fort Wayne, In. then north to Middlebury. I figure I'll be looking for a place to stop for the night anywhere from Morgantown area into eastern Ohio. For a second night stop somewhere from Columbus to Ft. Wayne. Send over your recommendations and I'll look them up.

Thanks

We stayed at the Wapakoneta KOA and really enjoyed it. All sites have a wooden deck, the owners are on site running the place, and the grounds are well manicured.

It's just across I-75 from the Armstrong Museum which I highly recommend.

Safe travels.
Time to camp.

From Columbus OH we always run US-33 over to US-127. North about 10 miles thru Van Wert, OH and catch US-30 to Fort Wayne. Much faster than following US-33 to Fort Wayne.

If you search the Good Sam trip planner you will find camp ground all along US-33. There is the Johnny Appleseed camp ground run by the City of Fort Wayne for about $18 a night but not sure when it will close for season. There are camp grounds at Indian Lake in Lakeview OH, by I-75 at Wapakoneta OH (Neil Armstrong Space Museum) and Van Wert OH area. If your just stopping for a night is there something special you want?
