Gulf State Park Alabama

We are thinking of visiting Gulf State Park in March. Is this a real busy time with Spring break? Gave up on trying to talk to them on the phone (on hold) and online reservations was not working.

Just got a reply from an inquiry yesterday. Said they were booked the entire month of March. This is the month we get most of our snow in N Georgia and we were going to sneak out for a couple of weeks. :?

I still did not get and answer on the rates question,

Nice park - well worth the aggravation of getting in. Keep trying for a reservation or show up and put your name on the wait list for when sites become available. I think they assign sites around 1 pm and you must be present when they call your name.

Two years ago we found it booked solid until after the snowbirds left. Plenty of vacancies after that when we stayed for 2 weeks. But that was mid-April.

March can have days with no sites available, especially weekends. Call the reservation line, leave your name and number. I have always found they will call you back within the day.
