Hi,

Looking for a good overnight campground with 50 Amp/water/dump station an hour or two west of Atlanta close to I 20. Want to go thru Atlanta on a Sunday morning.

Thanks in advance.

If you had some time the Cheaha Mountain Resort off I20 exit 191 is a great place to stay outside of Talladega AL... All improved campsites have water, sewer, and electrical hookups, as well as a picnic table, grill, and a fire ring. There are two improved campgrounds with a total of 73 Improved sites. ALL sites have 20, 30, and 50 Amp Electrical Service. All sites are on the mountain (Talladega Natl Forest).

If you are planning this trip soon, check with the Ga DOT. Lots of projects going on inside the loop as well as on the loop itself on weekends. Rain has put them all behind and they are trying to catch up

There is a park we have used in Heflin, Al, Cane 9 Creek. It is located about 1-2 miles off I-20 so it should be a little quieter than the KOA which is on the interstate.

It is a basic KOA, but would be right off I-20, approx 90 miles to Atlanta. Good for an overnight, with hookups.
